August Update

Look at the title above and I guess it seems as if I can only update my blog once a month. I do hope it is not the case but with everything that is going around me lately, it is quite inevitable.

The 1st 2 weeks of this month seem to pass by me like a flash. I hardly notice the dates until this morning when I have to write a cheque! Its already the 13th. And we missed the 1st day of the Metrojaya warehouse sale yesterday!! This sale,if you have also been, I believe will agree with me, is worth going to. So I digress! Women...sale... shopping.... do the maths!

Actually I was not busy shopping(though it would have been nice). Early this month, Abg Adon and family came and spend 2 nites with us. Tahirah was looking for a suitable wedding attire and we are all quite excited to help. Then I was busy finishing tidying our old house. We got our first homestay customer last weekend. After furnishing the house, I really hope that our venture will be a success.

Then it was also last Friday that Adam was down with fever. He was coughing, very chesty, complaint of headache and and of course flu. I was really worried with all these epidemic going round....We went to see the doctor and the doctor said not to worry. It was just tonsillitis and he needs the antibiotics.
Three days gone, finished his medicine and he still complaint of headache. Went to the doctor again and now the doctor found that he is whizzing. The doctor prescribed another round of antibiotics and did 3 round of nabs. Still whizzing.

So yesterday, I brought him to DEMC for 2nd opinion. The doctor agreed that the whizzing is very worrying and did a blood test. It was confirm Adam suffered from what they called Bronchopneumonia. So they think that Adam should be admitted and start with intravenous antibiotics. ( He did this treatment once about a year ago). But with the fever and headache, the doctor is also worried that it could be related to H1n1. So my hubby insisted that I bring him to a government hospital for further check.

Shah Alam, being the only city in the world without a public hospital, I have to choose between Klang or PPUM. Since I'm more familiar with UH, I decided to go there ready with some extra clothes in case Adam has to be admitted. The hospital was hectic with so many patient and we really got worried of the VIRUS. Of course we put on the mask, then again the place was bustling with coughing, sneezing people! May Allah save us from the V.

After an X ray, the doctor confirmed that Adam's lungs was indeed infected but the earlier blood test show that it was bacterial and NOT Viral. The doctor retain us for a few hours for observation and whether Adam response to their treatment. Fortunately Adam responded well and the doctor thinks that the treatment can continue at home. He do not have to stay in the hospital. Although it is more comfortable at home, and definitely less exposure to viral infection, I was a little worried of his condition last night.

He gave me quite a scare very early this morning when he started coughing continuously. Luckily after a few more rounds of Ventolin, he seemed fine. I'm still worried about him and pray to Allah so that he can be cured.

I guess that's all for now. My mind is still quite occupied and do not feel like talking about anything else......

HOMESTAY AT SHAH ALAM

Sorry, I didn't have the time to update my blog. Have been busy turning our old house into a Homestay. Actually I haven't quite done cleaning the house, so I spent the last week or so doing just that.
We were quite undecided at first, on what to do with the old house. It was just recently that we finally decided to turn it into a homestay.

We had the house a new coat of paint and had the parquet flooring upstairs repaired and polished. We've furnished the house with 4 new queen size beds and we shall provide linens we bought 2nd hand from a 5 star hotel. My house is close to a shopping mall (the one that house the MACC office recently in the news) and of course the Shah Alam mosque.

So, kalau ada sesiapa yg ada urusan di Shah Alam,terutamanya bersama keluarga, bolehlah menginap di homestay saya. Nak melawat anak di UiTM ke, ada kursus ke, majlis perkahwinan saudaramara ke atau bercuti saja, tentu lebih murah tinggal di Homestay saya je.

Syurga Di bawah Tapak Kaki Ibu

Semalam kami baru beli weighing machine baru. Yang electronic body fat scale tu.. Nak timbang yg terlebih2 nilah. Konon2 baru cuba nutrition program baru yg kawan saya Kit beri. The weighing machine we had is more than 10 years old,so its no longer reliable.
Adek yang baca user manual, jadi dialah yg set the scale. Kena isi tinggi dan umur. Jadi bila timbang tu keluarlah berapa percentage Fat and Hydration dlm badan. Orang lain timbang, elok je keluar analysisnya. Bila saya timbang, keluar ERROR. Apasal ye? "Kenapa kaki Mama ni?Ada kuasa letrik ke?(sebab kena diri atas electronic strip tu)"tanya Adek.
"Ha'ah, ada apa kat kaki mama ni ye?" jawab saya.
"Ada syurgalah kat kaki mama" sahut Aiman."Syurgakan di bawah tapak kaki ibu"sambungnya lagi.
"Ha'ah, sebab itulah mama berat. Ada syurga kat kaki mama!!!"sambung Adam.

Jadi kat semua ibu2, jgn risaulah kalau berat lebih dari yg patut. Ada alasan rupanya....
Saaaayang anak2 mama!!!!!

Kereta Rosak

Semalam pegi Giant Sek 13 Shah Alam. Nak pegi bayar bill and do some grocery shopping. Keluar rumah dah agak lambat, jadi kena rush through the aisle and hopefully be on time to fetch the boys from school.

So, alhamdulillah, the queue kat cashier tak ramai. I had ample time to drive back to sek 9 school. Siap2 loading groceries ke dalam boot, nak start engine tak boleh. Aduh!!! macam mana ni takut boys tunggu lama kat pagar sekolah.

Try call kak Adek dia tak angkat phone. Dah pukul 1.00, tak kan tak habis sessi kat court lagi...So I tried my saviour friend, Atie. Nasib baik dia boleh tolong arrange jemput my boys from school. Anak Atie, Abg dah siap jemput Hilman, kena patah balik cari Aiman & Adam. TQ Atie. Tuhan saje balas jasa awak.

After trying several times to call adek, akhirnye dia angkat. Rupanya lepas court tu, dia lupa nak set balik telpon. Jadi adek tolong cari mechanic. Alarm bunyi tak henti2. Mechanic try start pun tak boleh. Jadi jump startlah. Ini case battery konglah. Tak ingat ari tu masa baru ambik kete ni, pegi tukar absorber, tukar tayar, tukar mounting dll, kenapa saya tak tukar battery? Bill tak jumpa pulak.

Dah telanjur kena masuk workshop, saya suruh juga mechanic tu check auto transmissionnye. Kadang2 masa drive tu, lampu neutral pun terkelip2. Pas tu tak de power. Macam tak tukar gear je.

So semalam dia kata saya kena tukar tah apa some computer function that controls the transmission. Ada ke such thing? Pasal2 kereta ni, saya tak paham. Jadi dengan battery baru, dan that computer thingy, labour and what not, kena juga RM 800/-

Emmm..... tulah saya cakap kat Adek, patutnya KPDN,(tempat dia keje) kena regulate harga service dan sparepart. Ikut sedap dia org aje nak charge berapa. Kita nak argue pun tak pandai. nasib badan.......

PINDAH

Petang nanti, jam 4.15, kami 3 beranak nak pegi Jakarta. Babah dia orang nak pindah rumah, jadi nak tolong kemas.
Dulu tinggal kat Menteng Jakarta. Tak taulah lepas ni dapat rumah kat mana. Rumah kat Menteng ni company yg sewa. So mahal sewanye. I think about USD2500 per month.
Nanti bila pulang dari Jakata, bisa cerita lagi dong. Sampai ketemu lagi.......Daaa

Berkhatan

Cuti sekolah ni Aiman nak berkhatan.Jadi sabtu lalu bawak dia pergi klinik dekat rumah saya. Katanya klinik ni banyak buat servis berkhatan ni. So, dah expertlah patutnya.

Saing2 dgn Aiman, anak kawan suami saya berbangsa Cina pun nak berkhatan. Moleklah tu. Kami tak berjaya pujuk Adam berkhatan saing abang dia, jadi bila Bryan pun nak sunat sekali, Aiman ada geng.

Pagi tu Aiman dah terasa agak takut. Maklumlah, anak2 teruna saya ni tak tahan sakit. Anak2 manja jugalah. Sampai saja kat klinik, muka dia dah pucat lesi, kalau toreh pun tak keluar darah kot. Kaki tangan dia sejuk. Dah dekat turn dia, dah mula' hyperventilate'. Takut sangatlah dia.

Masuk saja, doktor tu pun suntik bius. Dan saya rasa, bius tu belum sempat berkesan, doktor dah mulakan. Apa lagi, Aiman pun terjerit-jerit. Kesian betul saya tengok dia. Doktor tu confident aje kata Aiman mungkin overact. Sampai turn Bryan, dia pun berubah wajah, dari ceria jadi sangat marah. Katanye, sakit betul. Betullah tu, Aiman bukan over. Doktor yg tak nak tunggu kejap. Atau pun biusnya sikit sangat. Aiman kata dah sampai rumah baru dia rasa biusnya. Kesian betul kat Aiman!!!

Dek kerana peristiwa ni, Adam jadi bertambah takut. Dia suruh kumpul duit, nak sunat guna GA. Tapi ,Alhamdulillah, Aiman dah beransur pulih. Hari Rabu nanti gi klinik lagi, nak bukak klamp.
